LTJ Bukem, alongside MC Conrad, was at the height of his powers in 1997, riding high on the success of his Good Looking Records label and his pioneering “intelligent drum & bass” sound. Known for his atmospheric, jazz-influenced productions and silky-smooth mixing, Bukem’s sets were legendary for their musicality and technical precision.
The tiered pricing (£6/£3/£7) likely reflected different entry categories - possibly students, in advance, and on the door.
This collaboration between Foresight, SubCity Radio, and other promoters shows the interconnected nature of Glasgow’s electronic music community in the late 1990s.
